Starting the Master Cleanse

I've decided to start a blog today because I've started a new thing in my life. I'm trying to change for the good permanately. I'm tired of going through life depressed, unhappy, tired, lethargic, and this is NOT me at all. I'm ready to get back to me, ME! Happy me!! Loving life Me!! Can't get enough of everything me! I also made the decision to start blogging to keep my mind occupied!!! An idle mind is the devils playground!



So a few weeks ago I decided I was going to go on this thing called The Master Cleanse. I researched it throughly and ordered the kit off the website: http://www.themastercleanse.com/. I received the kit last Wednesday and I went to the grocery store Saturday to buy what didn't come with the kit (water and lemons).



I work 3rd shift (12 hour shifts at that) so this is going to be a little tricky for me. I worked last night and got home around 8 this morning. I made a cup of herbal tea, enjoied it throughly and went to sleep. I was suprised but the tea actually helped me sleeep more peacefully. I usually only sleep about 5 hours a day and I wake up about an hour after I've fallen asleep. Today I didn't I slept a full 5 hours straight, it felt really good.



Now here comes the yummy part so if you don't know much about cleanses you might want to stop reading here and do some reasearch because I'm about to talk about some "natural body functions" that may not be too pleasant to read about.



When I woke up about 3:30 I immidately had a BM (a small one but solid), I thought it was working pretty fast since I had only had the laxitive tea and nothing else. NOTE: I did my first weight after my BM and I'm 179.4 (I'm 5'8 so somehow I carry my wt. well b/c noone believes I weigh that much but I feel like a moose so it needs to go too)



Next I made the 32 oz salt water flush (SWF), I started "working on it" around 4:35 and didn't finish until 5:05 since it is a lot of water to down at one time. The taste or texture of the salt water didn't bother me but I kept feeling full and when you feel full off water it's hard to drink more, espically 28 oz more. By 5:10 I needed to have another BM, it started off solid then half way through went to all liquid. At 6:00 I needed to eliminate again and this time it was pure liquid.



Now I was hungry so I made my first lemonade drink at 6:30. It really wasn't bad at all and went down very easily. I am aiming for the recommended 8 glasses today but since I worked last night and not tonight I'm not planning on staying up all night long. On my nights off I usually go to bed around 2 am, so that doesn't leave a lot of time for "normal living". I'm not going to drown myself with lemonade just to get my 8 glasses down before I go to bed. So I will just drink one every time my body tells me I'm hungry (as long as I get the minimum of 6 in, I'm good). This will also help to train myself to "listen to my body" and only "eat" when it tells me to (since I have a VERY bad addiction to food). Other than that I'm sort of planning on having a drink every 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Its now 7:30 and already wanting food so bad but I'm about to make another drink and I feel like I need to drink more water because I'm feeling a little dehydrated, dry mouth is never fun.
